Why UNICEF
So, here is why I chose UNICEF USA. First, I wanted to share some of the proceeds from Kumo Kitty to help make the world a better place. Second, I’m a kid so I thought it made sense that our charitable giving focus on those less fortunate children. Third, I picked a charitable group that has a solid reputation, not just something somebody made up. UNICEF met all these criteria, and its hard to dispute that it doesn’t follow through on its mission. Sure, UNICEF is not perfect but it supports a cause and mission we can all get behind.
Here are a few more reasons that UNICEF uses to make its case,
- UNICEF USA is included in CharityWatch’s list of Top-Rated Charities.
- UNICEF USA receives the highest ratings for transparency, accountability and administration Charity Navigator.
- UNICEF USA has been vetted by GlobalGiving, and has achieved Superstar status for demonstrating the highest level of engagement and/or effectiveness over the past year
- Of every dollar spent, 88 cents goes toward helping children. UNICEF USA spends about 8 cents on fundraising costs, and just over 3 cents on administration.
- UNICEF USA is consistently the top national committee that funds UNICEF’s work for children.
Our Commitment
Kumo Kitty is committed to its pledge to UNICEF. But how do you know I will follow through on my commitment. Here is why,
- Contributions will be made every 90 days
- Evidence of contributions will be posted and shared with the Kumo Kitty community
- Kumo Kitty will adhere to its pledge and commitment, regardless of how big or small.
- In the event that a problem arises with contributions to UNICEF USA, an alternative will be identified and shared with the Kumo Kitty community.
- All contributions will be made public
- Upon reaching 100 percent sell-through, we will conduct a third-party review. (We have to make some money to pay for the audit).
